Dress to impress on April 1st at the 1078 Gallery doors at 7pm. This April Fools Tale, will showcase Fashion and Art from our local community. Capturing the energizing mood of Spring in an event that will be humorous, sexy, fun, and so cool. Colorful artwork and fashion design will be featured, as eleMENts by Beaute will beautify the models of the 3 design houses, Micah Hankins of Iron and Ink, Natalie Hays of Natalie Hays and Marc Andrew Fitzgerald of Able Abe Clothing.

Our special guest, DJ Oh Snap will awe you with a variety of jams that will delight your feet, as Jen Cartier will tempt your tastes buds with gourmet delicacies meticulously crafted. Spring is the time to get out to this event and be seen as many more surprises are in store.

Pursuing more artistic and diverse events, the 1078 Gallery has opened its doors to do something new, young, and fresh. With this group of trendsetters showcasing a new breed of creative talents it is the hope to continue to bring together eclectic and exciting new ideas to the Northern California area.

Marc Andrew Fitzgerald Johnson is a graduate of CSUC Class of 2006. He’s an avid Photographer, Designer, Artist, Entrepreneur, and Filmmaker. We hope to see you there!

Dear All,

We have received several inquiries about the recent disaster in Hungary and deeply appreciate your concern about the effect on both the population and the environment. Graphic photographs in the international media have stunned and saddened concerned citizens around the world: on October 4th, the wall of a reservoir at an alumina plant in Hungary collapsed, unleashing a flood of toxic red sludge that so far has killed 7 people and injured more than 120, according to the Hungarian government's spokesperson. Several towns were virtually destroyed, displacing hundreds of residents, who probably will never be able to return home.

Part of the concern has been whether the fields where our herbal ingredients are grown have been affected by this catastrophe. Our Hungarian manufacturer's and their long time organic partners' organic fields are anywhere from 75 to 100 miles (120-160 kms) from the affected area and the lands are in the opposite direction to the creek and river flows, which are the concern in terms of the toxins spreading beyond the immediate area. In addition, this year's harvest is almost complete - 99% of the herbs, fruits and vegetables have been hand-processed into pulps already.

Our company has already provided financial support to the victims of the catastrophe.

Doors will open at 7pm and as guests arrive and mingle Dj Oh Snap will get them in a festive mood. Performers from the Moonshne Collective will be rocking the spot, as hors’ dourves for early guests served by Blush Catering and drinks will be available with a donation to the Gallery.

Unusual small-lotted artisan organic wines and a select collection of Sierra Nevada beers are available in the salon. The 5 chair salon offers hair cuts, color, color correction, perms, relaxers, extensions, clipper cuts, hot shaves and specializes in ethnic hair. A unique pedicure and manicure menu is available in the salon incorporating such items as yummy organic masks, hot stones and sugar scrubs. There is also a derm bar available for the client that wants the result of a facial without the fuss. The Spa offers a more Zen experience adorn with aroma-therapeutic fragrant candles, relaxing sounds of Tibetan Bells, and soothing background music that connects the creative and spiritual side of the soul. The spa services include organic facials, waxing, massages, body wraps and signature fusion package treatments. We proudly offer complementary fruit infused water, organic coffee, as well as a tea bar of naturally flavored green teas and extracts to our clients. For client that want to take the eleMENts by Beaute' experience home we offer a retail boutique on and off premise. eleMENts by Beaute’ believes it is important to give back and is involved with multiple charities: Locks of Love Foundation, Matter of Trust , and Susan G. Koman for the Cure.
Owner and Artistic Director, Lorianne Riley is a licensed Cosmetologist, CMT and a Business Major that has been working in the beauty industry for approximately ten years collectively. In order to create eleMENts by Beaute’ Lori combed the United States for three years prior to opening the facility to find an assortment of organic and /or sustainable products that are gentle, but active enough for clients to experience real result instantly. Although Lori is very interested in all the disciplines within the beauty industry skin is Lori’s true passion. Prior to owning eleMENts by Beaute’ Lori traveled throughout Northern California working as part of the Lancôme Pro Team where she has had the privilege to be formally trained in the discipline of applying makeup by Ross Burton who at the time was the National Artistic Director for Lancôme. She has also been trained by makeup artist to the stars, Creator and Artistic Director Sheila McKenna and Roque Cozzette of Kett Cosmetics in the application of airbrush makeup. Lori’s travels have allowed her to be lucky enough to work on photo shoots and runway shows through out California, as well as be featured makeup artist in an issue of Mirabella’s news letter “Beauty Know – It – All” and on “Wake Up News” an affiliate of NBC and CBS.
